Happy National Pedicure Day!

Did you know that farm animals get pedicures too?

Every 6-8 weeks, the New Moon Farm Sanctuary goats, sheep and donkeys have their hooves taken care of by a professional trimmer. Our farriers Daphne & Gillian trim their hooves to remove excess growth, create a level walking surface, and prevent hoof rot & other painful conditions. These pedicures cost $30 per goat and sheep, and $65 per donkey. It definitely adds up (around $3500 a year), but is absolutely necessary for healthy hooves.

Donate now to help cover farrier costs for the animals at New Moon Farm Sanctuary for the rest of the year. Thanks for supporting healthy hooves on National Pedicure Day!
